This afternoon, Apple has made the firmware update 1.1.4 for iPhone available for download. The update is a file of 162 MB. To date, knows no new features were observed
with the update, but is believed to support-as yet to be released SDK. Stay tuned for details.

I am in the middle of downloading the update yet. It is always taking my via wireless modem. 22 minutes to go and counting.
According to user reports on The Unofficial Apple Weblog, there are no new features on iPhones to the new firmware update, and no one has been able to locate the SDK from Apple.
It looks like today could be the day for the SDK to live, but as we know, it was a little delayed. Stay tuned for more information once the firmware update is complete.
Update - 2:25 PM
After waiting about 20 minutes to download the update, I began the process of updating. It took about 10 minutes from beginning to end of the iPhone to update the firmware, reboot, and reactivate itself on the network. I have not had any problems, although some users have reported random errors during the update.
I have checked every last screen on the phone, and from what I can tell (which is in line with other users) there are no new features included in this update. According to the text file of Apple, the update only subject to “bug fixes.” It fixes bugs that Apple has not clearly. Some users, however, report improvements in how several load web pages in the Safari browser.
TUAW’s Erica Sadun has taken careful consideration under the hood when building new frameworks, and reports that there is no news, and it seems that nothing has been added.
Most people suspect - as do I - that the update is preparing the ground for the iPhone to support SDK-developed apps. Of course, the SDK is not available yet, so it will not be until it is confirmed.
One thing to note to all you iPhone jailbreakers there. The ZiPhone jailbreaking software does indeed work. This means that you do not have to wait for a new hack for release 1.1.4, freeing the same tool that you used for 1.1.3 will open 1.1.4.
